Business Profile

About Us... Pumpkin Season
We have now opened the field for pick your own pumpkins. Photo shows the outside of the temporary shop where there is a good selection of ready picked pumpkins on display. The work on the carpark has now finished and access and parking is greatly improved and a lot more trolley friendly.

Temporary Shop
It may not look much but after the devastating fire of Sunday 26th June we are delighted to have a temporary shop up and running. The rebuild of the old shop is going to take quite a lot of planning. In the meantime the butchers are back in business and we will continue to reinstall all the old favourites over the next few weeks. First up the deli counter with all the lovely cheeses we were selling before. We also have a mobile kitchen due for delivery shortly so that Jan can make her wonderful pork pies, sausage rolls, quiches and much more. Things are looking up.

September Strawberries
September StrawberriesWe still have an excellent pick of late strawberries and as long as the weather remains fine should have strawberries into October. Also still available are raspberries, sweet corn, blackberries, marrows and squash. Keep an eye out for pick your own pumpkins which will start early October.

More Information... Pick your own Updated 19th October 2016

Blackberries £5.99/kg

Back open after the fire.
Our own beef, lamb and pork is used to supply the butchery. The livestock is reared to the highest welfare standards at Streetfields Farm, near Lutterworth and travels less than 8 miles to a local abattoir. The carcasses are delivered to the shop and butchered on the premises.

The butchers counter offers a high level of customer service, a butcher is always on hand to prepare cuts and joints to your requirements. Our butchery manager Hugh Sloan has years of experience and can advise what type of joint will suit your needs (ideal for special occasions and dinner parties) and on the cooking times. If possible call ahead for large orders and speciality cuts, especially at the weekends on 01788 832966

Hugh and the team are regularly coming up with new and innovative ideas to tempt you. We make all our own sausages, burgers and faggots at the shop. Fresh free range and barn reared poultry is available all week, along with a selection of local dry cured bacon, Cheshire oak gammon, black pudding and pies. Frozen game is on sale throughout the year.
